This one is simple. Every time you gain a skill point beyond level 20, add 1 to your level. No extra health, no attribute points. Just adding to your level would show other players your experience without actually doing anything to your character.

How would this show experience? Just get a power leveler to level you to max.
Also, a lvl 20 is just as good as a lvl 99, you can be lvl 99 and still be a total retard ala Diablo 2

Being lvl 99 only shows you're a good solo farmer.. doesnt say much about your game experience or if you are a good teamplayer etc.

everytime you gain a skill point you can buy/cap a new skill

number of skills in one char tells your pve experience , but its hiden . i think this is on purpuse , thats why the level 20 is there. you dont know the power of the other , nothing really tells. and even having all skills, cant tell much , there is also runes , atributes configuration. 8 skill set combinations. and real time game controling.

Actually im a monk and i havent soloed once, everytime i gain any experience its from healing others and getting exp for their kills (and sometimes mine :P). Got all my exp legit.

My ranger has 1 mill EXP+ from solo trapping UW i think that makes me Level 134 I belive? I think i have 76 out of 134 skill points used.

What do you do when you see someone with high exp? Assume a farmer.
What do you do when you see someone flash a tiger? Assume an IWAYer.

They're just numbers, let people think what they will. If they want to showoff their high numbers then they should be expected to perform when the fight starts. At which point, then you make the accusations about where they got their experience from.

Get over yerself and accept that you are level 20 like 99% of the people that play this game. You want people to know you are skilled play with people you know more often than not.

Although this will never happen: I'd like to see their skillbar, armor, runes, and weapons. That way I can avoid grouping with the idiots who run solo builds or meathead Wars who use Frenzy.

You guys aren't thinking. Why not have levels above 20? There is no advantage/disadvantage. Sure, you can power level to level 99, but it would take weeks. I think my highest level char would be around 40 or 50. Anet could add quests for people of certain levels, thus reviving pve gameplay (if you noticed, pve is empty almost everywhere you go except the major cities.)

It would be nice if you could show ur team hrs played, xperience on charicter and such.... would make weeding out a team alot easier...
i ask alot of questions to ppl when putting together a team, but some things just amaze me, then i have to ask experienced ppl retarded questions due to the ignorance of some ppl... makes me feel like the ignorant person...

Nothing like asking trappers on a 3 man UW trap team if they have staves, all traps, wilderness points, and what not... but all it takes 3 different PUG's in a row and at least 1 ranger with a bow in each to realy start asking such questions....

Been proposed. Rejected because:

A.) Just another standard for Elitists to use to ruin the game for others.
B.) To many solo farmers to be of any use...I'm like lvl 70+
